Buildings and communities in Qatar
Across Qatar, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) regulates the sector, and leases are registered online with the Ministry of Municipality. Non-Qataris can own property only in ten designated areas, a list updated in June 2026 that includes Lusail, The Pearl and West Bay. Operators therefore run some buildings with many separate owners and others for a single landlord. RealMake supports both: shared costs split across owners, or full costs reported to one owner. Qatar has no VAT yet, and the system can switch VAT on if Qatar introduces it.
