Buildings and communities in Al Rayyan
Aqarat regulates Qatar's real estate sector, and leases are registered with the Ministry of Municipality. Non-Qatari ownership is limited to designated areas, so many Al Rayyan compounds are owned by one landlord or a Qatari family group and leased to residents. That makes the compound operator responsible for most upkeep and shared costs. RealMake records each villa, its residents and its share of compound costs. Qatar has no VAT yet. Charges are billed in Qatari riyals without VAT, and the system can switch VAT on if Qatar introduces it.
