Country-wide control with Real Estate ERP in Qatar

Most Qatari property groups are run from Doha, but their projects spread further: towers in Lusail, compounds in Al Rayyan, residential blocks in Al Wakrah, holdings on The Pearl and land toward Al Khor. RealMake ERP lets one finance office run all of them, with each project and company keeping its own ledger. Shared suppliers, cost codes and approval rules apply across the group, so a purchase order in Al Khor follows the same checks as one in Lusail. Consultants fly in from Bengaluru for workshops and go-live, and support continues remotely on Qatar working days.

Consolidating a Qatari property group each month

A typical Qatari group might hold land in one company, build in another and lease completed buildings through a third. RealMake ERP posts inter-company charges in matched pairs as they happen, so month-end consolidation becomes a review rather than a rebuild. The group finance team sees each company's books, the eliminations and the combined position in Qatari riyals, with drill-down to the original entry.

  • Inter-company charges posted in matched pairs
  • Eliminations prepared before month-end
  • Combined position reported in QAR
  • Drill-down from group total to entry

A property back office for Qatar

Qatar has not yet brought in VAT, though officials have said it is coming, and an e-invoicing law has been approved with no dates set. RealMake ERP is prepared to switch VAT on when it is introduced, across every group company at once. The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) regulates the sector, and non-Qatari ownership is allowed only in designated areas; that list of ten areas was updated in June 2026 and includes Lusail, The Pearl and West Bay. Projects can be tagged by area for reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one RealMake ERP setup cover companies in Doha, Lusail and Al Khor?

Yes. All companies sit in one database with their own ledgers, bank accounts and approval limits. Suppliers and cost codes are shared, so reports compare projects across municipalities on the same basis.

What happens to our books when Qatar introduces VAT?

Nothing breaks. Tax codes already exist in RealMake ERP and are switched off. When a law takes effect, your advisor sets the treatment and the codes are enabled for every group company from the start date.

Does the ERP record which projects sit in designated ownership areas?

Yes. Each project can be tagged with its area, so reports show which projects fall in the designated areas listed in June 2026, such as Lusail, The Pearl and West Bay.

How are management fees between group companies handled?

A fee raised by the holding company creates the matching cost in the receiving company at the same time. Both sides carry the same reference and are eliminated when group figures are combined.

Can each company keep its own bank accounts and approval limits?

Yes. Bank accounts, approval matrices and user rights are set per company, while the group finance team can still see across all of them.

Will we work with a team based in Doha?

No. Symake works from Bengaluru and has no GCC office. Consultants fly in for workshops, training and go-live, and support is given remotely during the Sunday to Thursday working week.

Can we migrate from more than one old accounting system?

Yes. Each company's opening balances, open contracts and assets are loaded from whichever system it used, then agreed with your team before that company goes live.

How is user access controlled across companies?

Each user is given roles per company. An accountant in a project company sees only that company, while group finance can view every company and run consolidated reports.
