From booking to books in Dubai
The Dubai Land Department (DLD) and its regulator RERA govern property sales. Oqood registers off-plan sales, Ejari registers tenancy contracts and Trakheesi issues advertising permits, and RealMake holds each reference on the matching record. Off-plan payments go to project escrow accounts under Dubai Law No. 8 of 2007. VAT is 5% and RealMake applies whatever treatment your tax advisor sets per unit type. UAE e-invoicing starts on 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, and on 1 July 2027 for the rest.
