Running a property portfolio in Abu Dhabi
The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) regulates the market, and leases are registered on Tawtheeq. RealMake keeps the Tawtheeq reference on each let unit, so the rent roll links back to a registered contract. In June 2026 ADREC announced a temporary freeze on rent increases, and RealMake applies whatever increase rule is in force when you plan income per building. VAT is 5% and corporate tax is 9%; the software applies the VAT treatment your tax advisor sets for each asset type. UAE e-invoicing starts on 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more and on 1 July 2027 for the rest.
