One view with Property Management Software in Qatar

Qatari property groups rarely stop at one city. A typical portfolio might include towers in Doha, new apartments in Lusail, villa compounds in Al Rayyan and blocks in Al Wakrah or Al Khor. Each location has its own tenants and rent levels, yet all leases follow the same national steps: application, contract, registration with the Ministry of Municipality, deposit and cheque plan. RealMake runs those steps the same way everywhere, so a leasing officer in one city can cover for a colleague in another. Owners and managers see occupancy, rent collected and renewals due by city or across the whole country.

Leases and rent in Qatar

Aqarat regulates the real estate sector across Qatar, and leases everywhere are registered online with the Ministry of Municipality. Non-Qataris may own property only in ten designated areas, a list updated in June 2026 that includes Lusail, The Pearl and West Bay. RealMake records registration on each lease and marks units in designated areas. VAT is not yet in force in Qatar, so rent goes out without it. If Qatar introduces VAT, the system can switch it on for the charges your tax advisor identifies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can RealMake handle leases in Doha, Lusail and Al Khor together?

Yes. Units are grouped by city and building, and every lease follows the same steps. Local teams work from their own lists, while managers can see the whole country at once.

Is lease registration the same across Qatar?

Leases throughout Qatar are registered online with the Ministry of Municipality. RealMake saves the reference on each contract, whatever the city, and lists any still missing.

How are units in Qatar's designated areas shown?

Each unit can be flagged if it sits in one of the ten designated areas, such as Lusail or West Bay. Reports can then separate units owned by non-Qatari investors.

Can we move one city at a time onto the software?

Yes. Many groups start with one city, check it works and then add the next. Shared templates and rules are set once, so later cities move faster.

Does RealMake charge VAT on Qatar rents yet?

Not at present. Qatar has not introduced VAT, so invoices for rent carry none. When it does, the setting is switched on with the treatment your tax advisor chooses.

Can an owner with units in three cities get one statement?

Yes. All of an owner's units, in any city, are listed on one statement with rent received, fees deducted and the net amount paid.

Can managers compare arrears between cities?

Yes. Arrears, vacancy and upcoming renewals can be reported by city, so managers can see where follow-up is needed and move staff if required.

Is there a Symake team inside Qatar?

No. Symake runs its work from Bengaluru in India. Consultants fly to Qatar for workshops, training and go-live, and support is remote during your working week.
