Retail ERP Software in Dubai for multi-emirate chains

A typical Dubai group sells through mall branches in Downtown and Dubai Marina, smaller stores in Al Karama and Deira, and holds stock in Al Quoz or Jebel Ali Free Zone. Each location may need different prices and offers, yet margin has to be measured as one business. Symake's retail ERP holds one price book with rules per branch, so a weekend offer in a mall does not change the price in a neighbourhood store by mistake. When the promotion ends, the report shows units sold, discount given and margin kept. Groups with branches in Sharjah or Abu Dhabi use the same setup without a second system.

Promotions you can measure, not just run

Dubai shoppers expect offers, and buyers are under pressure to match competitors. The risk is that discounts run longer than planned or reach stores they were not meant for. In Symake's back office every offer has an owner, a branch list, a date range and a margin target. After it ends, buyers compare the uplift in units with the margin given away, and decide whether to repeat it.

  • Each offer tied to an owner and a date range
  • Branch lists stop offers leaking to the wrong store
  • Supplier-funded discounts tracked for claims
  • Post-offer report on units, discount and margin

From price chaos to one price book

How Symake sets up a Dubai back office in stages

Price audit

We collect current price lists, offers and supplier terms from every branch and spot conflicts.

Structure

Companies, branches, free-zone entities and cost centres are defined with your finance team.

Masters

Items, barcodes, suppliers and opening balances are imported and cleaned before anything goes live.

Pilot branch

One branch runs first so buyers and store staff can test prices, offers and receiving.

Rollout

Remaining branches switch in planned waves, with consultants in Dubai for the first ones.

Review

After the first offer cycle we review margin reports together and adjust the rules.

A retail back office for Dubai

Dubai businesses charge VAT at 5% and pay corporate tax at 9%, so each company in the group needs its own clean ledger. Free-zone entities in places such as Jebel Ali often sit beside mainland trading companies, and the back office keeps their books apart. E-invoicing through the Ministry of Finance starts on 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, who connect through an accredited service provider. Everyone else has until 31 March 2027 to appoint one and goes live on 1 July 2027. Symake prepares structured invoice data for whichever provider you appoint.

Separate ledgers for free-zone and mainland companies
VAT at 5% on sales, offers and supplier bills
Invoice data ready for an accredited service provider
Corporate tax at 9% supported by entity-level books

Frequently Asked Questions

Can different Dubai branches have different prices?

Yes. You keep one base price per item and add rules for specific branches or groups of branches. Tills only receive the price that applies to them, so staff do not need to override anything.

How are supplier-funded promotions tracked?

Each offer records which supplier funds it and on what terms. When the offer closes, the system calculates the claim, and finance can follow it until the credit note or payment arrives.

We have a company in Jebel Ali Free Zone and one on the mainland. Can both be managed?

Yes. Each entity has its own ledger, VAT setup and stock locations. Transfers between them are recorded in both companies, and group reports can combine or separate them.

When does e-invoicing apply to Dubai retailers?

Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027 through an accredited provider. Smaller Dubai chains have a 31 March 2027 appointment deadline and a 1 July 2027 start.

Is there a Symake office in Dubai?

No. Symake delivers from Bengaluru. Consultants travel to Dubai for workshops, training and go-live, and the support team works remotely during hours that overlap with yours.

What should a chain look for in a back-office system?

Look for one database across buying, pricing and accounts, offer controls by branch, clear VAT records, and a vendor that will still answer the phone after go-live. Test it with your own items and offers.

Can branches in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi join the same setup?

Yes. Branches in other emirates are added as stores under the same company or a separate one, depending on your legal structure. Prices, offers and reports work the same way.

Do card and wallet settlements reconcile automatically?

Settlement files can be matched against store takings, and differences are flagged for the finance team. Cards and Apple Pay are both supported.
