Planning Retail ERP and POS Software in UAE by emirate

UAE retail groups often grow emirate by emirate, sometimes with a separate company for a free-zone warehouse or a new territory. Symake's retail system handles that with multi-company accounting under one setup. Stores in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah can share an item master and loyalty programme, while each company keeps its own ledger and VAT data. Branches further out, in Ras Al Khaimah or Al Ain, sell offline when lines are weak and catch up when connected. The finance team then closes the month for all companies together, with consolidation and inter-company transfers already recorded.

E-invoicing preparation for every company

The UAE e-invoicing rollout runs in two groups. Businesses at or above AED 50 million in revenue go live on 1 January 2027 and need an accredited service provider for it. The rest appoint by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. A group with several companies may fall into both. Symake's retail system keeps invoice data structured per company, so each can connect on its own timeline.

  • Invoice data structured per legal entity
  • Each company connects on its own date
  • Provider link tested before go-live
  • Receipts and invoices from the same records

Built for retail counters in the UAE

Every emirate charges VAT at 5%, and corporate tax at 9% applies across the country, so a UAE group needs clean sales, cost and stock data per company. E-invoicing comes from the Ministry of Finance in two stages. Larger businesses at or above AED 50 million in revenue go live on 1 January 2027, and other businesses follow on 1 July 2027 once they have appointed a provider by 31 March 2027. Symake's retail system produces VAT return data per company and stores every invoice in a structured form for the provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one setup cover stores in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes. Each store is a location, and each legal entity is a company with its own books. Items, loyalty and reports can be shared across all of them, while VAT data stays per company.

We have a free-zone warehouse company. How is stock moved to stores?

Transfers between companies create matching sale and purchase entries on both sides. The stock movement and the inter-company balance are recorded in one step, ready for consolidation.

Which UAE e-invoicing date applies to our group?

It depends on revenue. Businesses at AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027, and others must appoint a provider by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. Check each company in a group against the threshold with your tax adviser.

Does the system support corporate tax work?

Yes, as a data source. Sales, cost of sales, stock values and expenses are kept by company, which supports corporate tax at 9%. Filing itself stays with your accountant or tax adviser.

Is training delivered in English?

Yes. Training, guides and support are in English. Consultants run sessions on site across emirates, and supervisors are prepared to train new cashiers in their own branches afterwards.

Will we deal with a Symake office inside the UAE?

No. Symake is based in Bengaluru, India, and has no UAE office. Consultants fly in for workshops, training and go-live in each emirate, and day-to-day support is remote during UAE hours.

Can a store in Ajman charge a different price from one in Dubai?

Yes. A national price list applies by default, and an emirate-level list can override selected items. Promotions can also target a single emirate or a group of branches.

How do branches in Al Ain or Ras Al Khaimah cope with weak connections?

Tills store items, prices and customer data locally and keep selling during outages. Sales and payments upload in sequence when the connection returns, so head office reports catch up.
