Retail ERP and POS Software in Makkah during Hajj and Umrah

Store traffic in Makkah follows the calendar. Ramadan, the Hajj season and the steady flow of Umrah pilgrims can multiply the number of transactions in a day. Retailers near Ajyad and Jarwal need extra counters at short notice, while stores in Al Aziziyah and Al Awali also serve residents all year. Symake's retail system lets you add a till, assign a seasonal cashier and switch on a peak price list without a long setup. Because non-Muslims cannot enter the city, our workshops run in Jeddah or online, and the setup is designed so your own supervisors can run it on the ground.

Built for queues that grow overnight

Counter features that matter when Makkah is at its busiest

Queue-busting checkout

Queue-busting checkout

Staff with handheld devices can scan items in the line and pass a ready basket to the till, so payment is the only step left.

Offline resilience

Offline resilience

Mobile networks get crowded during peaks. Tills keep selling, printing receipts and holding records until the connection clears.

Pilgrim payments

Pilgrim payments

Pilgrims pay with international cards, mada and Apple Pay. Each method is tracked, so reconciling a busy day takes less time.

Seasonal staff

Seasonal staff

Create cashier logins for the season with rights limited to selling. Discounts and refunds still need a supervisor.

Peak price lists

Peak price lists

Schedule a price list or promotion to start and end on set dates, then return to normal prices without editing items one by one.

Rapid replenishment

Rapid replenishment

Low stock at a busy branch triggers a transfer request from your Jeddah warehouse or from a quieter branch nearby.

Cash pickups

Cash pickups

Supervisors record mid-shift cash pickups so drawers never hold too much. Each pickup is signed off and matched at shift close.

Receipt compliance

Receipt compliance

Every receipt carries a QR code, VAT at 15% and the Arabic fields ZATCA requires, even on the busiest day of the season.

Season review

Season review

Compare this Hajj season with the last by branch, hour and item, and use the results to plan staff and stock for the next one.

Plan each season from last season's numbers

Busy seasons in Makkah are predictable in timing but not in detail. Symake keeps every receipt, cashier shift and stock movement in one place, so you can see which hours were busiest, which items ran out first and which branches needed transfers. That history becomes the plan for the next Ramadan or Hajj: how many tills to open, how many seasonal staff to hire and how much stock to bring in early.

  • Sales by hour across the season
  • Items that ran out, and on which day
  • Transfers raised between branches
  • Transactions per till per hour

Getting ready before the next season

A setup plan run from Jeddah and online for Makkah stores

Remote discovery

Video calls with your managers cover branches, peak hours, payment terminals and the way cash is handled today.

Configuration

Items, prices, VAT and cashier roles are built and tested in Bengaluru, then reviewed with your team online.

Jeddah workshop

Supervisors attend a hands-on session in Jeddah to practise sales, returns, cash pickups and shift close.

Store setup

Your supervisors install the tills themselves, with our team guiding each step over a video call.

Trial trading

A quiet period is used to run live sales on the new tills before the season begins, so issues surface early.

Season support

During peaks, remote support stays available across Saudi working hours, with till problems handled first.

Built for retail counters in Makkah

Makkah retailers follow the same ZATCA rules as the rest of Saudi Arabia, and busy seasons do not pause them. VAT is 15%. Phase 2 of FATOORA asks for UBL XML invoices with a cryptographic stamp and a QR code, real-time clearance for B2B sales and reporting of B2C receipts within 24 hours. Wave 25 brings in businesses with VAT-subject revenue above SAR 187,500 in any year from 2022 to 2025, with integration due by 1 February 2027. Peak days create a large volume of receipts, so the reporting has to run on its own.

Automatic B2C reporting on high-volume days
QR codes printed on every simplified invoice
Integration plan dated before 1 February 2027
VAT at 15% shown clearly on each receipt

Frequently Asked Questions

Will your consultants come to our Makkah stores, or work from Jeddah?

Non-Muslims cannot enter Makkah, so our consultants meet your team in Jeddah or online instead. Your supervisors install and run the tills, with our team guiding them remotely during setup.

How many tills can we add for the Hajj season?

There is no fixed limit in the software. Each extra till needs hardware, a payment terminal and a user setup, so we agree the number with you in advance and prepare them before the season starts.

Will the tills cope when mobile networks are congested?

Yes. Tills sell offline and keep receipts locally. When the network frees up, sales sync to the central database and the B2C invoices are reported to ZATCA.

Can we sell to pilgrims who pay with foreign cards?

Yes. International cards and Apple Pay work through supported terminals, along with mada. The receipt is issued in Saudi riyals, and the shift report shows totals per payment method.

How do we stop seasonal cashiers from giving unauthorised discounts?

Seasonal logins can be limited to selling only. Discounts, voids and refunds then need a supervisor's approval on the till, and every attempt is logged against the cashier.

Can a Makkah branch draw stock from our Jeddah warehouse?

Yes. A transfer request goes from the branch to the warehouse, the warehouse confirms what it sends, and stock shows as in transit until the branch receives it.

Are receipts compliant with ZATCA phase 2?

Receipts are set up with the QR code, cryptographic stamp and Arabic fields that ZATCA requires for simplified invoices, and they are reported within 24 hours of issue.

Can we also serve residents outside the peak seasons?

Yes. Loyalty points and member prices suit regular shoppers in districts such as Al Naseem and Al Shawqiyah, while peak price lists stay switched off until the next season.
