Running a property business in Doha
The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) regulates brokers in Qatar, and non-Qatari ownership is allowed only in designated areas such as West Bay, The Pearl and Lusail, under a list updated in June 2026. RealMake records the area and buyer type on each sale so reports stay accurate. Qatar has no VAT law in force yet, so no tax is charged on invoices; tax settings are ready to be turned on when it arrives. An e-invoicing law has been approved without dates, and RealMake already keeps structured invoice data.
