Running a property business in Al Rayyan
Brokers in Qatar are regulated by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat). Non-Qatari ownership is limited to designated areas, a list updated in June 2026, so most Al Rayyan compounds are held and leased by Qatari owners and companies. Qatar has no VAT law in force yet, and RealMake does not add tax to invoices; the tax setting is ready to switch on if Qatar introduces it. An e-invoicing law has been approved but has no dates, and invoices in RealMake are already stored in a structured form. Lettings may also come through Property Finder Qatar or Qatar Living.
