Comparing Production Management Software for Manufacturers in UAE

UAE manufacturers rarely sit in one emirate. A group might cut and fabricate in Mussafah, assemble in Dubai Industrial City, keep an export warehouse in JAFZA and buy from partners in Sharjah's Hamriyah Free Zone. Each location may be a separate company with its own trade licence, zone rules and bank accounts. Symake plans demand, materials and capacity across all of them in one run, while accounts, VAT and e-invoicing stay with each company. When comparing options, check that one planning run can cover every company without exporting data to spreadsheets.

Planning that crosses emirates, books that do not

A UAE group often needs two things that pull in opposite directions. Operations wants one plan for all plants. Finance needs each licensed company to keep separate accounts, VAT records and, from 2027, its own e-invoices. Symake handles both. The planning run treats all sites as one network, and every transfer between companies becomes a proper inter-company sale and purchase, with VAT at 5% where it applies.

  • Network planning across every emirate
  • Separate ledgers per licensed company
  • Inter-company transfers invoiced properly
  • E-invoices issued by the right entity

A UAE group's planning week

How central planners coordinate plants in several emirates

Consolidate orders

Orders from every company and emirate are pulled into one demand list for the week.

Allocate volume

The central planner assigns each product to a plant in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah or elsewhere.

Plan materials

One run produces purchases, transfers and subcontract orders for every company in the group.

Balance plants

Overloads in one emirate are moved to free capacity in another before dates are confirmed.

Approve and send

Each company's buyers confirm their own orders so suppliers invoice the right entity.

Monitor

A group dashboard shows late orders, shortages and load by emirate through the week.

Production planning for UAE plants

Across the UAE, VAT is 5% and corporate tax is 9%, applied per company. E-invoicing through an accredited service provider goes live on 1 January 2027 for businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, and on 1 July 2027 for the rest, which must appoint their provider by 31 March 2027. Each emirate has its own licensing authority, and free zones such as KEZAD, JAFZA, Hamriyah and SAIF Zone add their own rules. Large buyers also look for National In-Country Value certification. Symake keeps these records per company so planning across emirates never mixes the books.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one plan cover plants in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah?

Yes. All plants join one planning network, each with its own stock and work centres. The plan suggests transfers between emirates before new purchases when stock exists elsewhere.

How are free-zone and mainland companies kept apart in the UAE?

Each is set up as its own company with separate accounts, VAT records and invoices. Planning crosses company lines, but every movement between them is documented as an inter-company transaction.

When do our UAE companies have to go live with e-invoicing?

If revenue is AED 50 million or more, go-live is 1 January 2027. Otherwise it is 1 July 2027, with the accredited provider appointed by 31 March 2027.

Does Symake have offices in the UAE?

No. Symake has no office in any emirate. Consultants fly in from Bengaluru for workshops, training and go-live, and support is provided remotely during hours that overlap the UAE working week.

Can planning data support our ICV certification?

Planning and purchase records show spend by supplier and company, which helps when you gather figures for National In-Country Value certification. Your ICV advisor can use those reports as a starting point.

How do transfers between our emirates show up in the books?

Each transfer between companies creates a sale in one ledger and a purchase in the other, with VAT at 5% where it applies, so both companies' accounts and VAT records stay correct.

Can the system plan subcontract partners in other emirates?

Yes. A partner in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah or Sharjah is set up as a subcontractor with lead times for each operation, including transport between emirates.

What should we check when comparing planning tools for a multi-emirate group?

Check that one run covers all companies, that inter-company documents are automatic, that VAT and e-invoicing stay per entity, and that planners can see capacity for every plant on one screen.
