Usually yes. One database with a company per registration gives you a group view and automatic inter-company entries. Separate databases make sense only when entities have different owners or must keep data fully apart.

How does Odoo apply IGST when we move goods from Hyderabad to Vijayawada?

Fiscal positions detect that the two addresses are in different states and switch the tax from CGST plus SGST to IGST. We test this for each route your group uses before the setting goes live.

Can a user in our Kukatpally office be blocked from seeing a sister company's books?

Yes. Each user is given a list of allowed companies. If a sister company is not on that list, its journals, invoices and reports simply do not appear for that user.

What happens to reports when we add a new company to the group?
