Not every change deserves a developer. Moving a field, renaming a label or adding a simple filter can be done in Odoo Studio, which comes with Enterprise on the Custom plan. Logic that checks GST state codes, blocks a delivery when credit is exceeded or calculates a value from other fields belongs in a proper module. We write that module with inheritance and keep it in your Git repository. You get the cheaper route wherever it is safe.

Only through Studio. Odoo Online does not accept custom Python modules, so complex rules need Odoo.sh or your own server. We explain this before you choose hosting so it does not surprise you later.

How do we keep track of everything that was changed?

We keep a written change log for your database. Each entry lists the request, the reason, the module that holds it, the version it shipped in and who approved it. Your auditor and any future partner can read it.

Will you tell us when a requested change is not needed?

Yes. Many requests turn out to be a setting, a filter or a saved view in standard Odoo. We show you that option first, because code you never write is code you never have to maintain or upgrade.
