Manufacturing ERP Software in Al Rayyan, job by job

The Doha Industrial Area sits inside Al Rayyan municipality, and its numbered streets hold a large number of plants and workshops. Many build to order for project buyers and dealers, so no two jobs look quite alike. The hard part is knowing, before you quote, what a job will need, and knowing afterwards what it really cost. Symake's ERP links the quotation to a BOM, a work order and the materials it consumes, so the answer is there when the job closes. Owners who run the business from offices in Al Waab or Al Gharafa can follow every job without driving to the plant.

Underquoting is the quiet risk of a make-to-order business. In Symake's ERP, a quote starts from a draft BOM and routing, so materials, operation times and outside work are all priced. When the job closes, the actual figures sit next to the quote. Over a few months the gaps show which products, machines or customers need different pricing. Estimators in Al Rayyan stop relying on memory and start working from history.

  • Draft BOMs used for every quotation
  • Operation times priced per work centre
  • Quoted versus actual cost per job
  • Price history for repeat enquiries

Built for manufacturers in Al Rayyan

Plants in Al Rayyan follow Qatar's rules, and Qatar has no VAT law in force yet. Officials have said VAT is coming but have not set a date, and an approved e-invoicing law also has no start date. Symake's ERP runs Qatar companies without tax today and is ready to switch VAT on when it is introduced. Invoices are already stored as structured records, so linking to a future e-invoicing system should be a setup task rather than a new system. Business runs on a Friday-Saturday weekend, and our support hours overlap most of the Qatar working day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our plant is on a numbered street in the Doha Industrial Area. Will consultants visit?

Yes. Consultants travel from Bengaluru to Qatar for workshops, training and go-live, and they work at your plant in the Industrial Area. Between visits, support is remote.

Can the ERP handle one-off products?

Yes. A BOM and routing can be created for a single customer order, copied from a similar past job and adjusted. The job keeps its own BOM even if a standard version exists.

Will our invoices show VAT yet?

Not for Qatar companies today, because there is no VAT law in force yet. When Qatar introduces VAT, it can be switched on and invoices will show it from the start date.

How do we know a job made money?

When a job closes, the ERP shows its quoted price, material issued, labour time, outside work and overhead side by side. The margin is visible per job, per customer and per product family.

Can owners approve purchases when they are away from the plant?

Yes. Approval rules route purchase orders above a limit to the right person, who can approve from wherever they log in. Each approval is recorded with the user and the time.

Do we have to stop using our accounting package on day one?

Not necessarily. Some plants run purchasing and production in the ERP first and move accounting at the start of the next financial period. We agree the order during planning so books are never split mid-year.

What if a customer changes the drawing mid-job?

The BOM or routing on that job can be revised, and the change is recorded. Material already issued stays on the job cost, and any new items needed appear in material planning.

Can we track machine maintenance too?

Yes. Each machine can have preventive tasks by date or usage, and breakdowns are logged with the time lost. Maintenance work orders reserve spare parts from stock like any other job.
