Manufacturing and Production Management Software in Saudi Arabia

Saudi manufacturing groups often operate in more than one region: a head plant in Riyadh, a coastal site in Jeddah, perhaps a branch serving the Eastern Province from Dammam and Al Khobar. MODON runs the industrial cities that host many of these plants. Symake gives each site its own work centres, operators and maintenance teams, while the group shares products, bills of materials and quality rules. Regional managers see their own plants, and the head office sees all of them together. New regions, such as projects in the NEOM region, can be added as the group expands.

Execution features for Saudi groups

From one plant's tablets to the group's regional dashboards

Regional dashboards

Regional dashboards

Each region sees its own plants' output, delays and stoppages, and the head office sees the totals.

Standard work instructions

Standard work instructions

Instructions and drawings attached to routing steps are the same at every plant making that product.

Release controls

Release controls

Only approved BOM and routing versions can be used on a work order, at any site in the group.

Cross-site material

Cross-site material

Components can be supplied from another region's warehouse through a tracked transfer document.

Operator records

Operator records

Who ran each operation is recorded, helping supervisors find training needs across plants.

Inspection plans

Inspection plans

Checks defined at group level appear at the right operation in every plant that makes the item.

Asset maintenance

Asset maintenance

Every plant's machines follow service plans, and overdue work is visible to regional managers.

Lot genealogy

Lot genealogy

A finished lot can be traced to its components even when they were made in a different region.

Group job costing

Group job costing

Actual job costs are compared across regions to explain differences in margin between plants.

Consistent work orders in every region

When a Riyadh plant and a Dammam plant build the same product differently, quality and cost drift apart. Symake locks each work order to an approved BOM and routing version, attaches the same instructions and checks, and records the result in the same format. Regional managers keep control of their schedules, and the group gets data it can actually compare.

  • Approved versions only on new jobs
  • Same quality checks at every plant
  • Regional control of daily schedules
  • Comparable results across the group

A Kingdom-wide rollout, step by step

Starting in one region and extending across the group

Group workshop

Leaders from each region agree common codes, routings and checks in a workshop in Riyadh or Jeddah.

First region

The first region's plants go live, with consultants on site for training and go-live.

E-invoicing

FATOORA phase 2 integration is tested and switched on for each company in the group.

Next regions

Further plants join in turn, using the setup proven in the first region.

Group view

Regional and group dashboards go live once data from several plants is flowing.

Support

Remote help from Bengaluru continues during hours that overlap the Saudi working week.

Shop-floor control in Saudi Arabia

All Saudi plants charge VAT at 15% and invoice under ZATCA's FATOORA rules. Phase 2 integration is moving through waves, and wave 25 includes businesses whose VAT-subject revenue went over SAR 187,500 in any year from 2022 to 2025, with a deadline of 1 February 2027. Within a group, each company may fall into a different wave. Symake registers every company separately, clears business invoices in real time with a QR code and cryptographic stamp, reports simplified invoices within 24 hours and prints the Arabic fields ZATCA requires.

Group visibility without losing plant detail

Head office needs totals. Plant managers need detail. Symake gives both from the same records: the operator's tablet entry for a single operation is the data that feeds the regional and group dashboards, so nobody re-keys figures for a monthly report.

✓ Tablet entries feed group dashboards
✓ No re-keying for monthly reports
✓ Drill down from group to operation
✓ Regional maintenance backlog view
✓ Lot traceability across regions
✓ Separate ZATCA setup per company

Frequently Asked Questions

Our plants are in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. Where do workshops happen?

Group workshops are usually held in Riyadh or Jeddah, and consultants fly in from Bengaluru for each plant's go-live. Detailed setup work between visits is done remotely.

Does each company in our Saudi group need its own ZATCA integration?

Yes. Each VAT-registered company is set up separately for FATOORA phase 2, with its own cryptographic stamp and invoice sequence, while production data can still be shared.

Can a product be made in two Saudi regions with different machines?

Yes. The item and bill of materials stay the same, and each plant gets its own routing to match its equipment. Costs and output can then be compared between the two.

How do regional managers see only their plants?

Access is set by role and site. A regional manager sees the plants in that region, and head office users see the whole group.

Can we trace a component made in Jeddah into a product finished in Riyadh?

Yes. The lot from Jeddah keeps its number through the transfer and into the Riyadh work order, so the finished product's history shows both plants.

Is a plant in the NEOM region too remote to support?

No. Day-to-day support is remote anyway, and consultants fly in for training and go-live wherever the plant is. The plant connects to the same database as the rest of the group.

Will plants across the Kingdom get Arabic screens?

Everything on screen is in English, as are training and support. Tax invoices carry the Arabic fields ZATCA requires, so compliance does not depend on the screen language.

What does a Saudi group need to prepare before starting?

A list of plants and companies, the main products with their current bills of materials, and the names of key users in each region. We build the plan from there.
