Regional teams and FMCG Field Sales Automation in Saudi Arabia

Saudi FMCG sales usually run through regional teams, often managed from a Riyadh head office, with distributors covering the Western, Eastern and Central regions. Reps in Jeddah may face seasonal demand tied to Makkah and Madinah, while teams in Dammam and Al Khobar work denser city beats. SalesMake lets each region plan its beats while national price lists, schemes and targets stay central. Reps check in by GPS, book orders and record collections from bakalas and other credit outlets. Sales heads see the whole Kingdom on one dashboard, region by region.

What SalesMake gives reps, regional managers and head office

Regional beat design

Regional beat design

Each region builds beats for its cities and towns, and head office can compare coverage between regions.

Checked-in calls

Checked-in calls

Every outlet call is confirmed by GPS, from Al Khobar to Jeddah, giving a consistent record of coverage.

National targets

National targets

Targets set nationally can be split by region, rep and product group, with progress after every order.

Scheme rules

Scheme rules

National and regional schemes are applied automatically during booking, so terms stay consistent across regions.

Display audits

Display audits

Merchandising checklists let brands compare how their lines are displayed in each region of the Kingdom.

Kingdom surveys

Kingdom surveys

One survey can reach every rep, giving head office a national view of competitor activity and price points.

Credit and collections

Credit and collections

Reps record payments against invoices, and outstanding balances are visible by outlet, region and nationally.

Low-coverage routes

Low-coverage routes

On highways and in smaller towns, the app keeps working without signal and syncs once a connection returns.

Regional dashboards

Regional dashboards

Regional managers and sales heads see calls, orders and collections live, each at their own level.

Invoices from rep orders that meet ZATCA rules

Across Saudi Arabia, every invoice that follows a rep's order must meet ZATCA's FATOORA requirements. In SalesMake, the order becomes an invoice with VAT at 15%, the Arabic fields the law requires, a QR code and a cryptographic stamp. B2B invoices go for real-time clearance and simplified invoices are reported as required. Reps do not handle any of this; they book the order, and the system takes care of the tax document.

  • VAT at 15% applied from the order line
  • Arabic fields on every tax invoice
  • QR code and stamp for FATOORA phase 2
  • Real-time clearance for B2B invoices

A Kingdom-wide rollout, region by region

How we take a Saudi field team from first workshop to national use

Riyadh workshop

Consultants meet national sales, distribution and finance leads to agree common rules for every region.

Pilot region

One region goes live first with its beats, outlet data and opening balances.

Western region

Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah teams follow, with seasonal calendars for peak periods.

Eastern region

Dammam and Al Khobar beats are set up, and reps there are trained in English.

National view

Dashboards compare regions, reps and product groups on one basis for head office.

Continued support

Support from Bengaluru continues remotely during hours that overlap the Saudi working week.

Field teams selling across Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia applies VAT at 15%, administered by ZATCA, and tax invoices must include Arabic. FATOORA phase 2 is being rolled out in waves. Firms whose VAT-subject revenue topped SAR 187,500 in any single year from 2022 to 2025 belong to wave 25 and must integrate by 1 February 2027. For FMCG distributors, the change reaches the outlet counter: invoices raised from rep orders need UBL XML, a QR code and a cryptographic stamp. Some sweetened and energy drinks also carry excise tax. The weekend is Friday and Saturday, and many outlets take payment through mada cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can regions in Saudi Arabia keep their own beats?

Yes. Each region plans beats for its cities and towns, while prices, schemes and targets are controlled from head office.

Which cities do your consultants travel to?

Consultants fly in from Bengaluru for workshops and training, usually in Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam. Makkah sessions are held in Jeddah or online. Support after go-live is remote.

Are invoices from the app compliant with FATOORA phase 2?

Invoices raised from rep orders carry the Arabic fields ZATCA requires, VAT at 15%, a QR code and a cryptographic stamp. B2B invoices are cleared in real time.

What if our business falls in wave 25?

Your integration deadline is 1 February 2027 if VAT-subject revenue passed SAR 187,500 in any year between 2022 and 2025. We plan rollouts so invoicing is ready before that date.

Can we handle seasonal peaks in Makkah and Madinah?

Yes. Western region branches can run seasonal beat calendars for Ramadan, Hajj and Umrah, adding calls to busy outlets and reverting afterwards.

How do head office and regions see performance?

Live dashboards show calls, orders and collections by rep, region and product group. Each manager sees their level, and head office sees the whole Kingdom.

Does the app work on long highway routes?

Yes. It is built for low-connectivity areas. Reps keep recording calls without signal, and data syncs when the phone reconnects.

Can reps record mada payments?

Yes. Collections can be tagged by payment method, including mada card payments, and are posted against the outlet's open invoices straight away.
