Branches nationwide on FMCG Field Sales Automation in Oman

Distributors in Oman often run branches in several governorates, each with its own reps and outlets. A team in Muscat may follow tight city beats while reps out of Nizwa and Sur cover long interior and coastal routes. In Dhofar, the Khareef season changes demand for months at a time. SalesMake lets each branch plan its own beats while head office sets common price lists, schemes and targets. Reps check in by GPS and book orders, and the sales head sees calls, orders and collections for every branch on one dashboard. Duqm, further down the coast, can be added as its own branch when outlets there need regular calls.

How SalesMake supports reps from Muscat to Duqm

Branch beat plans

Branch beat plans

Each branch builds beats for its own territory, while head office can review coverage across the country.

Verified outlet calls

Verified outlet calls

GPS check-ins confirm when and where reps called, whether in Muscat, Sur or Nizwa, on one consistent record.

Targets by branch

Targets by branch

Targets can be set per rep and product group, then rolled up by branch for national reporting.

Uniform schemes

Uniform schemes

Schemes defined once at head office apply the same way on every order, in every governorate.

Merchandising standards

Merchandising standards

A common checklist lets the brand compare display standards between branches and channels.

National surveys

National surveys

One survey can run across all reps, giving a country-wide view of competitor activity and stock gaps.

Collections everywhere

Collections everywhere

Payments from credit outlets are recorded on the call and appear in national outstanding reports.

Rural coverage

Rural coverage

The app works in low-connectivity areas, which matters for interior and coastal routes between towns.

Head office view

Head office view

Sales heads see calls, orders and collections for every branch on live dashboards, updated through the day.

One rulebook for every branch in Oman

When each branch keeps its own price list and scheme sheet, outlets in different governorates end up on different terms. SalesMake keeps pricing, schemes and credit rules at head office, with room for approved local variations. Reps in Sohar and in Salalah see exactly the terms they are allowed to offer. Sales heads compare branch results on a common basis, and finance consolidates collections without chasing separate spreadsheets.

  • Pricing and schemes managed centrally
  • Approved local variations where needed
  • Branch results compared on one basis
  • Collections consolidated for finance

Rolling out across Omani branches

A phased plan that starts with one branch and extends nationwide

Head office workshop

Consultants meet sales, distribution and finance leaders in Muscat to agree national rules.

First branch

One branch is set up with beats, outlets and balances, and its reps go live first.

Lessons applied

Findings from the first branch shape the setup for the rest of the country.

Branch rollout

Sohar, Salalah, Nizwa and other branches follow in turn, each with its own training.

National reporting

Dashboards are set up to compare branches, reps and product groups side by side.

Steady support

Our Bengaluru team supports all branches remotely during hours that overlap Oman's working week.

Field teams selling across Oman

Across Oman, VAT is charged at 5% and administered by the Oman Tax Authority, which introduced it in April 2021. SalesMake applies the rate to orders booked by reps in every branch and carries it onto invoices. The Fawtara e-invoicing programme is being phased in on planned dates: a pilot for some of the largest taxpayers was planned from August 2026, phase 2 is indicated for early 2027 and phase 3 for mid to late 2027. Because the weekend across Oman is Friday and Saturday, beat calendars in all branches follow the same working week, and OmanNet payments can be recorded as collections.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can each branch in Oman plan its own beats?

Yes. Branch managers build beats for their territory, while head office keeps control of prices, schemes and targets and can review coverage nationally.

Can we roll out one branch at a time?

Yes, and we usually recommend it. A first branch goes live, lessons are applied, and other branches follow with their own training sessions.

Does SalesMake handle Oman VAT across branches?

Yes. VAT at 5% is set once and applied to orders and invoices in every branch, so rates stay consistent nationwide and reps cannot change them.

What about Fawtara e-invoicing?

Fawtara is being phased in, with phase dates still planned. We configure invoicing as the Oman Tax Authority confirms the requirements for each phase.

Will consultants come to branches outside Muscat?

Yes. Consultants fly in from Bengaluru for workshops, training and go-live, and can train teams at branches such as Sohar or Salalah, or online.

Can head office see collections from every branch?

Yes. Payments recorded by reps post against invoices straight away, and outstanding reports can be viewed by branch or for the whole country.

Does the app work on interior routes with weak coverage?

Yes. The app was designed for areas with poor connectivity. Calls are stored on the phone and synced once coverage returns to the device.

Can different branches run different schemes?

Yes. Head office can approve local schemes for a branch or channel, and the system applies them only to qualifying outlets.
