Emirate-by-emirate ERP, POS and Retail Inventory Solutions in UAE

Most UAE retail groups do not stop at one emirate. A chain might be headquartered in Dubai, hold stock in a free-zone warehouse, and run branches in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain. Each location may sit under a different licence and company. Symake designs the rollout to match: one shared catalogue and loyalty program, separate companies where your structure needs them, and waves that move from emirate to emirate. Consultants fly in for the workshops and go-live days, and the group sees one set of reports in AED at the end.

UAE e-invoicing dates and your rollout plan

The Ministry of Finance has published the UAE e-invoicing timeline. For businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more, e-invoicing must be live from 1 January 2027 through an accredited service provider. All others appoint a provider by 31 March 2027 and go live from 1 July 2027. Symake checks which date applies to each company in your group and places the invoice setup ahead of it in the rollout plan.

  • Deadline checked for each company
  • Invoice setup ahead of your date
  • Provider connection in the plan
  • VAT return data ready for each entity

Rolling the group out, one emirate at a time

Six stages from group design to the last emirate

Group design

We map companies, licences, warehouses and branches across every emirate with your finance team.

Shared setup

One catalogue, price rules, loyalty and VAT settings are built and approved for the group.

Migration

Data from every emirate is cleaned and loaded, then compared with current stock and balances.

First emirate

Branches nearest head office go live first, with consultants on site for the opening days.

Next emirates

Remaining emirates follow in waves, each using the setup proven in the first.

Steady state

Support moves to the remote desk, with regular reviews as you add branches or change rules.

One retail stack for the UAE

Every emirate shares the federal tax rules: VAT at 5% and corporate tax at 9%. E-invoicing starts in 2027, with the date depending on whether revenue reaches AED 50 million. What differs between emirates is your group's structure: licences, free-zone entities and warehouses. The system keeps each company's books, VAT and invoice data separate, while sharing items and reports. The weekend is Saturday and Sunday, and Symake's working day in India overlaps most of yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our branches sit under different licences in different emirates. Is that a problem?

No. Each licence becomes its own company with separate books and VAT. Items, prices and loyalty can still be shared, and group reports combine every company so owners see the whole business at once.

Which UAE e-invoicing date applies to us?

It depends on revenue. Groups at AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027 with an accredited provider. Smaller groups have until 31 March 2027 to appoint one and start on 1 July 2027. We check this per company during discovery.

Can stock move between our Dubai warehouse and branches in Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes. Transfers are raised as documents, picked and shipped from the warehouse, and received by scan at the branch. If the two sites belong to different companies, the system records the inter-company side as well.

In which order do emirates usually go live?

Usually the emirate nearest head office goes first, because support is easiest there. Larger emirates follow, and smaller or more distant branches such as Al Ain or Ras Al Khaimah join in later waves.

How is VAT reported when one UAE group has several companies?

Each company reports its own VAT at 5% on its own sales and purchases. The system produces VAT return data per company, and group management sees combined totals for planning.

Does Symake keep staff in any emirate?

No. Symake is based in Bengaluru and has no office in the UAE. Consultants fly in for workshops, training and go-live days. Support between visits is remote and runs during UAE business hours.

Can customers use one loyalty account in every emirate?

Yes. Loyalty is held at group level, so points earned in Sharjah can be redeemed in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or online. Each company's share of points is tracked for its own accounts.

How do new branches join after the main UAE rollout?

New branches copy settings from a template for their emirate, including tills, prices and VAT. The main work is a stock count and staff training, so a new opening does not become a new project.
