Delivering ERP, POS and Retail Inventory Solutions in Dubai

Dubai retail moves fast, and most groups we speak with trade in more than one emirate. A branch in Dubai Marina, a busy counter in Al Karama and a stockroom at Jebel Ali Free Zone all need the same prices, the same items and the same view of stock. Symake begins with a discovery phase where our consultants map every location, its tills and its replenishment route. From there we write a rollout plan that names which stores move first, what data each one needs, and who signs off before the next wave. Your online store is wired to the same stock, so a customer in Business Bay sees what the nearest branch really holds.

Inside a Dubai retail group rollout

The pieces Symake delivers, from first workshop to support

Location mapping

Location mapping

Every store, kiosk and warehouse is listed with its tills, printers, staff count and stock source before any setup begins.

Master data cleanup

Master data cleanup

Duplicate barcodes, old prices and dead items are cleared out so the new system starts with a catalogue your teams trust.

Free-zone stock

Free-zone stock

Goods held at Jebel Ali are tracked as their own warehouse, with transfers into mainland branches recorded line by line.

Mall counter speed

Mall counter speed

Checkout screens are set up for quick scanning, split payments and gift receipts, and they keep working without internet.

Returns across branches

Returns across branches

A customer can return an item bought in Deira at a Dubai Hills branch, and stock and refunds land in the right place.

Loyalty and promotions

Loyalty and promotions

Points, vouchers and timed offers run on every till and online, with one balance per customer across all branches.

Omnichannel orders

Omnichannel orders

Online orders can ship from the warehouse or be collected at a store, and both channels draw from one stock figure.

Pilot store

Pilot store

One branch goes live first. We compare its sales, cash and stock to the old system for a week before more stores follow.

Support desk

Support desk

After go-live, your team raises tickets with a Bengaluru support desk whose hours overlap the UAE working day.

VAT and e-invoicing built into the Dubai setup

VAT and e-invoicing built into the Dubai setup

Every till prints VAT at 5% and every return reverses it, so the VAT return data at month end matches what stores actually sold. E-invoicing is next. Under the Ministry of Finance timeline, groups with revenue of AED 50 million or more start on 1 January 2027 through an accredited service provider, while everyone else follows on 1 July 2027. Symake sets up invoice data during the rollout, not as a later project.

  • VAT handled on sales, returns and credits
  • Month-end VAT data by branch and company
  • Ready to connect to an accredited provider
  • Rollout dates aligned with your deadline

From discovery to a live Dubai branch

The order we follow for each store or wave

Discover

Workshops with buying, finance, store and online teams to agree how the group should run.

Design

Item, price, tax and store settings are written up and approved before anything is built.

Migrate

Clean data from your old tools is loaded, then counts and balances are checked side by side.

Rehearse

Each store team runs a mock trading day: sales, returns, cash up and a stock transfer.

Switch on

The branch trades live, with a consultant on the floor or on a call for the opening hours.

Settle in

Daily reviews of sales, stock and cash continue until the branch runs without exceptions.

One retail stack for Dubai

Dubai stores follow UAE federal tax rules: VAT at 5% and corporate tax at 9%. Many groups also hold stock in Jebel Ali Free Zone and sell across Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, so the system keeps separate companies, warehouses and price lists while sharing one item catalogue. Currency defaults to AED in every company, and other currencies can be added for buying from overseas suppliers. The working week runs Monday to Friday with a Saturday-Sunday weekend, which overlaps well with Symake's team in Bengaluru.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our stock sits in Jebel Ali Free Zone. Can the new system handle that?

Yes. The free-zone site is set up as its own warehouse, usually under its own company where your structure needs it. Transfers into mainland branches are recorded line by line, so stock and accounts stay clear.

Can a customer return something bought in another Dubai branch?

Yes. Returns look up the original receipt across all branches. The refund is posted at the branch that takes the item back, and the stock lands there too, while the original sale stays with the store that made it.

Do you send people to Dubai or is everything remote?

Both. Consultants fly in from Bengaluru for discovery workshops, training and go-live days. Day-to-day support is remote. Symake has no office in the UAE, and we say so up front.

How do you decide which Dubai stores go first?

We look at data quality, staff readiness and trading patterns. A steady branch with a strong manager usually becomes the pilot. Mall branches with heavy weekend trade tend to switch early in the week.

We also trade in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Is that one project?

It can be. Stores in other emirates usually join in later waves, using the same catalogue and price rules. Separate companies, if you have them, keep their own books while sharing reports at group level.

What happens if the internet drops at a till in a Dubai mall?

The till keeps selling. Receipts are stored on the device and posted to the server when the connection comes back. Stock and sales reports catch up automatically, so cashiers do not need to re-enter anything.

Can we keep the card terminals already installed in our Dubai branches?

Often yes, depending on the terminal and bank. During discovery we list every device and confirm what links directly to the till and what needs replacing. Apple Pay and card payments are supported.

What does support look like once all Dubai stores are live?

Support runs remotely from Bengaluru during the UAE working day. Tickets go to a named team who knows your setup. Changes such as new branches or price rules are handled as small requests, not a new project.
