Leasing and owner care in Doha
Qatar's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) regulates brokers, and non-Qataris can own property only in designated areas, with the list of ten areas updated in June 2026. West Bay and The Pearl are on that list, so many Doha units are owned by non-Qatari buyers who rent them out. RealMake records the broker who placed each tenant and keeps the owner's details with every unit. Qatar has no VAT in force yet, and RealMake is ready to switch VAT on when Qatar introduces it. An e-invoicing law has been approved, though no dates have been announced.
